Starting from Sestri Levante city center, where you find directions for SS1 Aurelia to La Spezia. The track crosses the bays in the Levante area, typical landscapes perched on the sea and hinterland parts, surrounded by nature. Near Riva Trigoso, a hill 16 km long takes you to the highest point of the trail, to Passo del Bracco. A long part of the road is not on the sea, in the shade provided by the trees. Then the hill goes down for about 13 km, until the trail reaches Framura, Ligurian village made of five medieval villages. An elevator is available to easily reach the bike path, starting on the former railway Framura – Bonassola – Levanto. Levanto is about 6 km from there.
From Levanto, follow the directions to Cinque Terre on SP38. There, a steep road takes you to Monte Santa Croce, 600 metres above the sea level. Then take the SP63 on the right, taking you to Vernazza. After a short break there, continue on a steep climb (5km long) and continue towards Volastra, little village over Corniglia and Manarola, where again it is possible to take a break. In the end, descend to Riomaggiore.
